Nuestra mision
Nuestro objetivo es colaborar con las comunidades andinas para superar los desafíos económicos y sociales a través de una asociación de trabajo que dirige los recursos hacia proyectos sostenibles. Se da un enfoque especial para apoyar a nuestros niños y sus esfuerzos educativos.
Alpaca Expeditions tiene su sede en Cusco, Perú. La empresa fue creada por Raúl Ccolque, ex-portador y guía turístico del Camino Inca, entre otros. Nació en uno de los pueblos de las tierras altas de los Andes donde tuvo una vida difícil al crecer. Después de sus estudios, creó esta empresa para devolver algo a su comunidad y otros pueblos locales. Desde que Alpaca Expeditions ha estado abierto, hemos realizado muchos proyectos sociales en beneficio de los pueblos andinos, además de practicar el turismo sostenible. No solo realizamos proyectos sociales, también cuidamos bien a los porteadores que trabajan para nuestra empresa. Les pagamos salarios por encima del promedio, les proporcionamos un seguro médico y de vida, y siempre respetamos las leyes estatales y nacionales escritas para los cargadores. Además, también ayudamos a los pueblos en los que viven nuestros porteadores, especialmente atendiendo las necesidades de los niños. Proporcionamos suministros de higiene cada tres meses, así como computadoras, libros y otras necesidades educativas. Incluso hemos traído maestros a sus escuelas.
Sería difícil para nosotros retribuir a la comunidad sin la ayuda de nuestros clientes, quienes confían en nosotros para acompañarlos en sus viajes. No solo brindamos excelentes servicios, sino que también enviamos su dinero para apoyar nuestros proyectos sociales, en beneficio de los pueblos y sus niños. Alpaca Expeditions is a company dedicated to preserving nature. It’s a company that has worked hard in order to preserve the trails and treks for the enjoyment of the local people and future generations. Some hikers, porters, and even local people have been found to throw away garbage along the trails leaving them dirty and negatively affecting the local people and indigenous wildlife that live in the Andes. Every year our company organizes a Cleaning Campaign where we have staff members clean the trail and pick up plastic bottles or any non-organic item.
For many years these villages have been forgotten by our Peruvian government, especially those villages located in the middle of the mountains which do not even have access to cars and people can only arrive by horses. We consider that our region Cusco receives more than a million tourists per year which would make you think that Cusco is the richest region BUT it’s not. Considered as one of the poorest region in Peru due to the money collected from tourists being sent to Lima.
